Switching SE Front Seat Backs
I'm thinking of switching the leather driver and passenger seat backs on my 94SE as the drivers side has split in the area by my right shoulder blade and the passengers is still in good shape. Has anyone done this and and if so can they provide any tips?
Thanks,
Mike

I removed the seat cover from my parts car on Saturday. Not too bad of a job except for the removal of the headrest. It took a bit but I figured it out. There'* a few hog rings that need to be removed but the rest is just compressing the foam to slide off. It'* kinda like taking off a tight fitting shirt.
I can take some pics of the naked seat tonight if you need more help.

Switching SE Front Seat Backs
To all who responded thanks.
Randman, I think for right now I'm just going to switch out the backs if thats possible and that'* where I need the help. I think I can get to the pivot bolts but I'm not sure about the lever beside the bottom cushion that allows me to tilt the seat back back.
I don't want to screw up any linkage. I guess it might be easier to go ahead and remove the torn leather covering so I can get to everything easier but I'm afarid I'll tear it worse taking it off and putting it back on.
Any thoughts.
Thanks,
Mike

Taking the seat cover will be substantially easier than the entire back. The pivot points are riveted in instead of bolted, I believe. Nothing I would like to do. Let me get some pics for you so you can see the anatomy of the seat and cover.
It would be very difficult to tear the leather. It is layered with foam padding and it pretty thick. You will have to be carefull with the stitches though. It looks like there was some hand sewing involved but primarily on the bottom cover.

Pardon me, the pivot points are bolts, not rivets. Here are some pics of the seat disassembled. Keep in mind that this is the passenger'* seat. The descriptions will reference the left (console side) and right (door side) of the seats:
Left side pivot bolt
Left side recline fastener and shock(?):
Right side:
Naked seat:
Front view of headrest sleeves with padding pulled back (hint: turn 90* to release headrests):
Seat cover inside out:
Seat cover right side out:
If you have the same color seats, this one is for sale. I can not use them to replace mine due to the bolsters. Bummer, too. It is in great shape.
