Did you ever get it fixed 2.5 years ago? I don't know if the TPS would cause a miss, but I think it could under heavy load. In my experience, I had a weak fuel pump that would crap out under load and got worse the warmer it got.

The TPS won't cause any ignition issues, and this sounds very much like one.

Can you do this:

And tell us what you get? At the same time, can you tell us the resistance of each plug wire by number?

I had a very, very similar issue with my 92 ssei. I ended up having a combination problem. I had a bad MAF sensor and a fuel pump that would not force enough fuel under load. My other symtoms included running great when it was cold and my pump would act worse the lower the fuel in the tank. i had to refuel at a little lower than half a tank. I had a mechanic test the MAF and we diagnosed and replaced that and then it was pretty easy to diagnose the fuel pump.
