Default SuperCharger Catalytic Converter

I have a 92 SSEi and have a split down the side of my catalytic converter and need to replace it. I am finding that there are no aftermarket cats for the SSEi I haven spoken to magnaflow and they say that it is a pontiac only part. THe dealer wants $450 for the part. Do you all know of any aftermarket cats for the SC that will pass emission testing?

The oval 2.5" in/out from Marnaflow works just fine in our cars. Dosen't need to be a dealer specific part

Here'* where I bought mine: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...tegoryId=10251

The dealer is lying to you to get you to buy theirs. Go buy a universal Cat converter and have one of those small auto shops put it on for cheap. And please post your car, year, and trim in your signature.

I'm new here so forgive me for double checking all this, the guy at magnaflow not the dealer told me this would not work on the SC but I have to pass emissions this month so I got to do something and I just want to make sure it will pass. I have the magnaflow 2.5 in/out with the air tube will this work?

It will work, you don't need the air tube but you can get one that does and the exhaust shop will just weld it shut. As long as you have a muffler and cat, magnaflow is legal, you would not fail emmisions from your exhaust. make sense?

Direct fit for about $150 (third one down)

Just a follow-up I spoke to a guy myself at magnaflow and he said the 94000 series will work with the supercharger, to be more specific the 94006, he said the air volume will be fine and pass emissions. He gave me a dealer and it will be installed friday for $109 total cost. Pretty Good. Thanks for all the help

Glad to hear he found the information.

Also it'* interesting that we can find direct fit for ~$150, universal cheaper..and then he finds the same after the fact.
