ABS dont work on 93 SE,no light also
They just dont work when i slam my brakes when driving on lots of snow like they should. There is no ABS light on even. I just bought the car from the first owner and he had no idea about the problem either. It has also been sitting for about 6 months with no driving. Anything i can do sides putting down about 100$ to gte it chcked at dealer. Did that with my last one and gave me THREE codes that came up wrong which totaled about $1200 to fix and i said F'it.
Also did the 93'* have the traction control, as i see no button to turn it on/off

Some models did not have traction control. It was an option.
Do you have an ABS light on the dash that comes on if you turn the key to on w/o starting the car?

I see where Bill is going. I removed mine, too. I didn't think repairing the system on my SSEi was worth it.
It'* going to cost you to get the codes and fix it. That'* all there is to it.

Sounds like you don't get a self-test on that ABS light in the cluster. Someone seems to have removed it before you bought the car.
The first thing to check with ABS is to make sure all 4 WSS (wheel speed sensors) are attached and corrosion free. They are on the back side of each of the hubs. Next make sure that all the connectors are attached and corrosion free on the PMV assembly (under your airbox) and the secondary TC reservior (if equipped).
From there, if you don't solve your problem, you're going to the dealer for a diagnosis and expensive repair.

Do all bonne'* have ABS standard? That'* where I was actually going. I'm not positive on the 93'* and was going to aim toward thinking this member'* car might not be equipped. Especially since there is no traction control.
