You're only replacing 1/3 of your fluid that way. Get a flush.

I'm curious, how/where did you install this drain plug. If it works, it has it'* good points(such as ease and less mess) and cons(like Willwren said you're not changing all the oil, the filter, and cleaning the gunk off the magnet). But if you change the oil once a year and drop the pan every 2 or 3 years to change the filter it might not be too bad. It'* not the best, but it'* more than most people change the trans oil/filter.

well i think hes wrong but this is how i did it i placed the drain plug near the psngr side of the tranny and when he says its only replacing 1/3 its more than one half actually and the whole point of it is i can drain and refill once a month i already dropped the pan cleaned the mag and changed the filter but since i know for a fact the only fluid left is in the torque con and where people think i wont drain enough i just take the plug off and lift the driver side of the car to tilt the pan letting out more than usual and when there is some still remaining 2 or 3 changes in a month or 2 should be more than ok for a yr i feel i also have a tranny cooler installed raising my total capacity anyhow

the actual stats for the tranny are

12 pts drainded and refill out of 22 pts total capacity and with my cooler its

13 pts drained pan and cooler out of 23 total pts

thats y i feel out of about 3 easy drains and fills in 1 to 2 mnths it should be good as new and after the main refilling i plan on changing my trans fluid with my oil changes
my whole point of installing drain plug was to keep the trans fluid as new as the oil

I don't have a problem with what your doing. It'* a little bit too much maintenance for my taste. But if it keeps you(and your car) happy than I'm all for it. There is nothing worse than a "Bitchy" Bonneville Owner.
