Gas tank Fuel Cleaner???
Does the additive stuff that they sell at the store to use every few tanks, does it actually work. And is there any heavy duty cleaner for fuel??? I want to put in something like once a month or so.

What about that product, HEET? I think it also cleans out the system and supposed to prevent gas line freeze......................for half of this board that lives in MN.

They have a fuel injector cleaner fuel additive that you can use every other tank. But like Don said, any heavy duty full fuel system cleaner should only be used about every 4,000 miles.

The correct name/spelling is Chevron Techron and it comes in various forms I guess becuase I purchase it for a LOT less than $16/bottle. It comes in 12 and 20 oz bottles. Costco has the best price that I have found on four 12 oz. bottles.

I can never remember the name of the cleaner I use, but it'* sold at WalMart, and it'* a pink bottle in a multicolored chromed box. Q-something (Or something like that). Works like a charm, and doesn't cost as much as the fancier high end cleaners

The Techron stuff is supposed to be really good. My friend who is a Saab nut swears by the stuff. I've used in my Bonneville a few times and it seems to work well.

The only cleaner that my mechanic uses and reccomends is Sea Foam. He reccomends using every 5 to 6 tanks to clean fuel system and reccomends changing the fuel filter every 6 months on 3800 powered vehicles.
