98 SE - Steering Noises?
Maybe its just me, but is the L36'* power steering SUPPOSED to sound like a ford? Mine sure does, and on top of it, theres no place to add PS fluid?!? What kinda design is that? Someone please shed some light on the subject. I do remember hearing a GP doing it, but I still didn't believe my ears. Help! Thanks.

I was checking our '98 the other day and I concluded the same thing -- there used to be a filler?! :?
Get a bright flashlight. It'* on the left side of the engine, way way back, and down 8-10 inches or so. You'll see it. (Just to make sure I'm not thinking of our '94, I'm going to go out right now and make sure what I said was right )
Yeah, it'* there. You have to look down from the top -- it isn't visible from the front.
Now all you have to do is figure out how to get fluid into it

Should be a dipstick right on the cap when you unscrew it(going from memory). I think it was a Ford engineer that designed the placement. Probably went to work for Chrysler after that

John...when you replace the tensioner ... it'* easy to get at.
Meanwhile. there'* a dipstick mounted to the cap and add in small increments. It'll fill quicker than you think. It'* inconvienient..not impossible.
