if you wanna kill the dinging just pull the box its under the dash on the drivers side and it is connected by a clip so you dont have to cut anything this is what it looks like

That only dings for two reasons, Either your parking rake is depressed or you don't have brakes on one end. The parking brake switch simply grounds the light so check the wire.

Don't overlook this problem. That'* a warning that something is wrong with your brakes. Is your master cylinder reservior full? Any brake fluid leaking down the firewall?

If you put your feet under the parkin brake lever.. and pull up on it.. does it go away? Maybe just parkin brake cable needs to be adjusted and or lose ( which rubber band comes in handy as a bandaid solution ).

Everybody slow down on this one. Let'* not band-aid it.
The dinging is a BRAKE SYSTEM warning. The parking brake will not ding. This is an indication of a serious problem.

will. YES there is fluid running down the res. but it is still full. The ding is still on... Is it safe to drive?? my brakes seem normal... but i was planning on replacing the back brakes because of squeaking... WHat do you think?? It has done this before but was off the next time i drove... The leaking in the other topic lookd like it might be coming from the resivor.

This leak just started. Shortly after.. the chime started. I thought it was oil at first but then I looked and the fluid is coming down the fire wall. there is a wet spot running down the firewall under the reservior.

Does the brake light have to do with the leak or would those two have no connection? Or could the light go on just saying the back brakes need to be worked on? or is this a brake system problem??? If the leak is the problem is it something I myself can replace? I am taking it in anyways but what should i tell them..or should i just let them figure it out...
