Corvettecrazy, we should go meet at a bar and commiserate over our shaking H bodies. Or maybe we could run them head on into each other and call it even. OlTimer, I guess I just drive too fast, I held 125 mph for a couple minutes on 95 coming through New Jersey. Avg highway cruise speed is about 80 under normal conditions. I hope whatever is vibrating eventually falls off so I finally know what it is. The shaking is in the steering wheel, so it'* gotta be a front end vibration. The dash, hood, and front seats shake but sitting in the back the shaking is much less pronounced.

meeting up is a good idea. My schedule is pretty empty... hit me up on AIM or email me if you want to talk times and stuff.

As for running into each other head on...well...it would hurt and despite our Bonne'* problems I still love the car.

Oh by the way, I have the old man disguised bonneville (Buick LeSabre) although I upgraded it to FE3 sway bars and KYB struts to make it handle and an aftermarket PCM to make it go 140 mph. Its quite stealthy. I would also not still be putting up with all the crap this car gives me unless I liked it very much. I wonder if anyone else on this board is in the Philly area.

My mom got the tires balanced...it cleared up ALL the vibration problems.

Supposidily they were pretty far off.

Now if only I knew what was wrong with this tranny :?

Default Did you solve this problem.

1997 LaSabre

Did you solve this problem.?

I just got a 95 Bonneville last week and have the same issue of vibration coming in at 55 to 75, and by 90 is smooth again. I can't stand it at 70 MPH with cruise on.

I have rebalanced tires, and brakes, and checked all suspension joints. I have not checked motor mounts yet.

Rob..it'* not the tranny'* fault...it'* your driving style.

dk.. check for bearings and tie rods, then wheel balance..on both of mine..the tires on them were so crappy they had vibrations even after balancing. A fresh set of sneakers and I'm good at any speed

dk...did you check to see if you have any cupping? one of my tires got cupped badly because the toe was out on the driver side rear. now i am trying to wear it down on the front driver side. it shakes at highway speeds like it is out of balance and makes a humming noise at lower speeds. you might check that.

Has 1997_Lesabre'* problem ever been solved? I did a search through the boards because I have a similar problem. I haven't tried anything yet, its not as pronounced as his, but it'* annoying on long highway rides.

Being that the thread is over six months old, It would be assumed he did find a fix and didn't happen to return to the post for a follow up.
