Default replacing outer tie rods...

hey

im wondering if the tool to separate the tie rod end, from the knuckle is really needed
or is it one of those "u can do it with muscle" jobs.

also any tips will be good.

thanks.

It depends how old your bad your tierods ends are. I've a few that took one hit of the hammer to pop out and I've had others that took a good half hour with the fork. For what it costs for one of those tools I shouldn't be a really big deal.
