Default Is Left Rear strut noise common?

I have 84k on my 95 SSEi. A friend of mine has about 113k on his 95 SE. Both of our cars have the same lower pitched queaking coming from the left rear suspension. Mine is very minimal as where his is REALLY LOUD.

Is this the actual strut, the strut mount, or possible control arm bushings that have gone bad? Is this common on the Left Rear for some reason, or is this occurance just a coincidence?

FWIW, I push down on the left rear of my car and the strut does not feel bouncy to me. Plus the car handles extremely well from all four corners. Just want this annying squeak gone.

Thanks in advance.

um... no... Sounds like a bad strut, or bad coil isolaters.

Default Strut noise?

Thought my 93 was having strut noise, but discovered the problem was the ball joint. Grab the rear wheel at the 9 and 3 o'clock position and try to rock it back & forth. If it moves, have someone do it for you while you crawl under the car and look at the ball joint. Mine can be seen moving quite a bit-going in the shop next week for repair.

I only really heard it when backing out of my driveway out into the street-had a 'clunk' in the rear that was driving me crazy. Hope this helps!
