steering shudder at idle
i have a problem that typically only manifests itself when the car is idling in gear and the engine warm. if i turn the wheel right or left, the rpms will drop from normal idle speed (900-1000) to almost 500 and the steering wheel will shudder.
just a couple weeks ago, i replaced my power steering pump and the system has all fresh fluid. the car did this both before and after the power steering pump was changed, so i doubt the p/* pump is the problem.
any ideas? like i say, it only does it at idle and when the engine is warm. when the engine is cold, it doesn't do this.

I'm wondering it the rack is giving you issues with a restriction or possibly a pinched ps line running to the rack.
I'd need to look in the manual, don't have it with me though.
