stalling problems with 97 SE
hello,
lately I have been having some problems with my car. Let me explain, My car is a 1997 bonneville se, it has about 134,000 miles on it, and has very few problems. The car died twice yesterday while driving in the rance of 35 to 45 mph. I started watching the rpm gauge to see if it was dropping. The rpm'* would drop to around 500 and then bounce back up to 1100 to 1200. Only sometimes it wouldnt bounce back up or it would drop low enough to actually die. Now both times that it died it would start back up with no problem.
As far as work that has been done to my car, i have recently put in a new water pump, and my battery cable were loose so i fixed that. I also dont have anything aftermarket other than my stereo system, and that has been in since the day I bought the vehicle with no issues.
Does anyone have an ideas of what could be causing this problem.

Seconded. Mine had pretty much the exact same issue, although mine would die at any speed. Nothing like speeding down a highway at about 75 only to find that your engine just stalled.
