Default Stalling after excellaration

I've noticed that when the car is on a complete stop (parked or on a red light) the car will stall. I step on the gas (pedal to the metal) and the car stalls before it excells. Sometime it feels like the car is going to turn off. I also noticed that if I slowing excellarte than it won't hesitate. Does any one have an Idea what'* causing this :?:

Check for codes first off. When was your last tune-up including a fuel filter? Could be a malfunctioning MAF? Sometimes they don't give codes though...

I have a code 41, I replaced the CAM sensor, but the code still remained so I returned the sensor back. Should I have left the new sensor and eventually it would have fixed it self within time?

Could it be that I need a new wiring hardness, because it was being spliced by the gator belt. Maybe I'm not getting enough juice to the sensor.

i've never had that problem on a 3800 before, but i have had it on a little 4 banger, and it was cause the compression was way too low, so if you've got a compression tester (and a little time), than it never hurts to check... a wet and dry compression test.

of course, the 3800 is a way different beast, so i could be wayyyy off base, but if you've got the tools to do it, might as well, right?

Jesse, did you clear the codes after you replaced the CAM sensor?

Exactly what I was thinking. If you fixed it, but didn't reset your PCM you're still throwing codes for a bit.

Check your TPS, plugs, wires, kick your catalytic converter for rattling, and run some fuel cleaner.

When did you last change your fuel filter?
