When I turn my A/C on, most of the time it doesnt blow AT ALL and when that happens it flashes the desired temperture I want it, can it not read the sensors?? is it a problem with connections on the board? or what? Now sometimes it does work but still doesnt blow that hard. Can anyone tell me what is going on with my A/C? 95 SSE

I love this part. I'm going to respond with a ton of questions...ready?

Where are you located that you are trying to use the a/c in the late winter?
Is the outside temp warm enough to warrant the compressor turning on?
Do you leave it on w/o touching the ECC for at least 5 seconds? (Manual says up to 5 seconds before anything happens)
If you set the temp to max cold 60 degrees does your a/c compress cycle and fans come on? (Relays)
Does the blower motor inside the car work w/in 10 seconds? (Should kick up to high)
And best of all.....why did you just have a/c serviced and was the place qualified to work on it?

My car was kinda acting the same way, except my motor completely burned out to nothing and my Outside air temp sensor was shot.

Okay haha, i have no clue how a/c'* work anywayshere is the answers to the questions
1) Yuma AZ gets very hot here very quick
2) the outside tempertaure is about 80 here during the day
3) yes they go on BUT... i think the compressor engages why to mch like every 3-5 secs
4) sometimes the blower motor doesnt kick on at all sometimes it kicks on right away
5) i had it serviced because i thought i was low on freon, my automotive teacher was taking a A?C repair class and he said that he would check out all the components on my A/C for free so i said alright, well all he did was fill up the Freon and couldnt find anything worng with the system.

Was the system acting up before your tech looked at it?

If he added freon and it didn't need to be charged, it will cycle as you described. Too much freon is as bad as not enough. It can damage the system so that'* why it cycles in and out. Can you ask him how many pounds were in the system when he was done working on it? That would help us help you.

If all else fails do what I do

1)get on freeway
2)pick up speed to about 70
3)roll down window
4)stick head out window
5)enjoy fresh air
6)watch out for passing trucks

No it did this before he added the refrigeant. I told him about it and he said he will check it out. He did check it out didnt see anything wrong with the system so it just recharged the system, so it might be something with the controls? I dont know. He gave me a place to take it to, to get a more through inspection, so i will probly do that today and let you guys know. I will ask him next him on the pounds.

The flashing temp means it knows there is a problem. Unfortunately, after 93 you can't get the code yourself with any ease. A dealership can take a look at it and get the code to tell you what is wrong.

If the temp display is blinking, there is an error in the monitored parts of the ECC. The blower motor itself is not a monitored part of the system but the Blower Control Module output is. There is a feedback wire coming off of the BCM output that tells the HVAC programmer that BCM is giving the correct amount of voltage to the blower motor.

It'* a little difficult to verify if it is intermittent though. If it is happening with any regularity, you can check the BCM output with a volt meter when it is acting up. You can also have the codes read at the dealer to tell you exactly what the problem is.

I'm guessing here...but it worked once he pumped it up with freon, probably been a week or two and now it doesn't work again. Could be you have a leak somewhere and I think...not sure the system can tell it'* low. Might be as easy as a leak test and an o ring.
