Best RTV
I'm possibly going to re-seal my HVII to the UIM.
Here is a pic of the HVII on top of the LIM:
The stock UIM gasket is between the HVII and LIM.
I currently have red RTV between the HVII and UIM.
So what would be the best RTV considering the temperature, plastic-plastic contact, and oil fumes from the PCV?

The stuff in the black can with the touch nozzle. I think it'* called "The Right Stuff" or something along those lines.

That dosen't really say how it works with plastics and it says 'low pressure seal'. Would this be ok for 20 or so inches of Hg in the UIM?

When I buy RTV there'* only one tube. Permatex Ultra Copper.
It works for all applications, Gas, Water, Oil, Air, Exhaust and has never let me down. Good adhesion properties. I applied a small amount to the Canadian car EGR pipe where it was leaking and haven't heard anything since.

Even though I'm chiming in alittle late, I second the copper. I've used it and it'* held up great in high temps and I'm pretty sure the tube says it good to 600 degrees F.

Whichever RTV you use be sure to extrude a test bead, and let it sit over night, to be sure it will cure all the way through. I don’t know if Permatex Ultra gets old or if they have bad batches but I have two tubes of the stuff that just sits there and never cures.
When you find a good tube of Permatex Ultra a ¼’ bead should cure all the way through in over night or sooner.

I've had similar bad experiences with the ultra copper; either it didn't cure completely, or it cured but didn't bond well enough to prevent leaks.
