No, but can I afford to pay for the parts if I dont have a job? Its a no win situation, but like I said its not going to be like this much longer. A few more days and its going to be fixed. I understand thats is real serious, I do but I have to chance it

I hope it goes well for you and wish I was down your way to help out. After you do the first one you look at it and say "Gee, thats not hard at all, I bet I can do it in 1/2 the time next time." LOL

When I was asking all these questions I rember seeing a post where there were pictures of someone on here that was in the process of pulling the UIM and replacing the LIM gasket, it was like a step by step thing. Does anyone know of the post I cant seem to find it any more.

Thanks alot thats what I needed, I have a question tho, I was reading what he had under the photos and I noticed he was talking about blocked cool passages in the UIM. What is this about? Do I have to block them or do I have to unblock them if they are blocked?

Most leave the coolant passages unblocked. (no modifying). There was some testing of blocking off the ports. To my knowledge no one had any positive or negative results to report.

If you got to autozone..head for the HELP seciton with red packaging. GM coolant elbow.. usually two in the pack..not two identical. Some of the 3800'* have two on the accessory bracket.

Those are located to right next to the alternator right over the waterpump
