Default Passenger axle; non-HD; 2.86 and 3.05 interchangeable?

Anyone know if the 2.86 and 3.05 non-HD tranny uses the same passenger-side halfaxle?

Looking at parts catalogs online has left me confused on this question.

Note: This question regards my '98 LeSabre.

Axles should not change due to gear ratio. Only differences I have seen are HD to non HD.

Yeah, I'm still confused though...Both Rock Auto and napaonline say there'* a different axle for non-HD 2.86 vs. 3.05 (with Rock Auto listing a difference in length of like 3/16", and napaonline mentioning something about the 3.05 axle having a different "stub shaft"), whereas the GMPD online catalog leads one to believe the two ratios use the same axle (though who knows, since GMPD online recently eliminated listing part numbers and showing any technical details on parts, instantly turning it from the most useful online parts resource to the least useful )

So, any chance anyone'* got a passenger axle from a 2.86 and a 3.05, both in the 1997 to 1999 model year range, sitting side-by-side for comparison?
