I dunno about those plugs but from what i have gathered is that the autolite 605'* and the NGK TR-55'* are very good for the L36'*. I currently have the 605'* in my backseat and they were going in the day the tranny decided to let go. Doing a quick google search on your plugs that were in there and it looks like they shouldnt even be in there. Here is a link to a place i found that sells them and it gives a list of cars they should be in http://www.sportcompactonly.com/part_p-23842.htm That could be a reason for you knocking and also maybe even causing some misfires or something. DId you check the gaps on them?

I was serious about not being able to see the plugs enough to tell you anything.
BTW...don't let her know you put dirty car parts on the note..it won't go well for you.

well plugs are at 58 gap and they don't look like the stock ones for a 1998 but they are very lean so i guess changing my fuel filter is the first thing to do. still like to know if the ITR4A15 is a bad plug or a remplacement for a 41-921

yeah the ngk irridiums are expensive,
and i think the correct plug for that eng is the 41-101 as u mentioned. delco is notorious for changing there numbers around. so the manual may say the 921s or whatever. but if u were to look in a more current application catelog, itd prob list the 41-101s.
keep us posted on how it works.
