i tried using a sprae rim and tire off of a bonneville, and it wont work, I even deflated the tire to try and make it fit.
The Service Manuals state that you should NEVER try to mount a standard tire on a compact spare rim. The compact spare uses a narrow 4 inch wide rim.

I used a full size rim from a 91 bonneville with a full size tire. When it was deflated it stuck out about 3/4 in. higher than the reat of the floor.

Yeah that would work if you had a compressor in your car or built in like on some SSE/i'*

Yea I just went to the auto store and bought one that plugs in my cigarette lighter, since my car didnt come with one. Also I just realized that when I put 3/4 in., I really meant 3 or 4 inches not three quarters of an in.
