Default Changeing Water Pump on 92 SE

So my water pump is spitting coolant and i'm for the most part broke so i can afford to take it to a shop so i gotta do it myself, Heres my problem the motor mount is blocking the pump and i'm not sure how to get the mount off, I put a jack on the bottom of the motor and took the bold connecting the mound off and i still can get it off cause the top bolt that holds the mount on i can't get off and i'm wondering how i can get this fixed back yard redneck style.

Gonna have to remove the part of the mount on the frame. Two bolts on top, and two on the inner vertical face of the frame rail. Then slide the mount off the stud on the engine.

Maybe the alternator. But the coil packs can stay where they are. I did three (3) 92 water pumps in less than three weeks last summer. I got good at it.

I didn't even consider taking them off.

Na the coil packs are fine where they are. Alternator will definately have to though. The motor mount is horrible to get off though, there are the 4 frame mounts, the one pin bolt, and like 3 bolts that go into the block. Then you need to jack the motor up to get the clearance. Make SURE and remove your strut bar (if equipped) otherwise your P/* pump will get crushed and cracked. This is very important.

I did it with out removing the strut bar, also. I actually recommend you do not remove it. If you do, then jack up the engine (with tranny connected) you might very well likely need an alignment afterwards. There is just enough room to leave it on.

Well maybe on bonne'* there is but i've never had enough clearance in the few lesabres i've done to get it without taking the strut bar off. Also, it'* won't mess up your alignment if you put the nuts BACK on after removing the strut bar.

remove alternator? When we changed Ryan'* on his old '93 we never had to remove the alt. I've been working on the WP Pulley and bracket on the SSEi and I didn't have to remove the coils or alt.
