engine block heater
i know that lots of cars nowadays have engine block heaters with a cord that you plug in for a few mnutes to help warm the car up faster. i was wondering it theres a kit for our cars?

There are a few different types, but the best is probably the type that installs in the freeze plug. Most good auto parts stores probably have one in stock. GM also has one available. Anyone from Central Canada would be a good source of information.

We can get a couple different designs here in MN......But I'm just using my factory plug in.

Gonna cost a bit to have that installed. On my old 94 SSEi, GM gave me an estimate of 750 CAD installed.
Never did have it done. Luckily my 95 came iwth one and it works great.
Just wish it would keep the motor around 40 degrees or so.. that would be cool so i have nice warm blowing air when i start it up!
But heating a block of cast iron outside, in -40 weather isnt very efficient1

I saw, but unfortunately never bought, probably the best one in existance. You tapped it into your lower radiator hose. Not only did it have a heater, it also had a pump. It actually circulated warmed coolant through the system.
SHoulda bought the dang thing, because I haven't seen one again in the last couple of years...
