sloppy suspension
first of all...how funny to learn of the numerous P0401 codes going around. i just had that issue with my car today....turns out there was no pcv valve o-ring in place, causing a vacuum leak. i was also fighting a problem where i would turn (from a dead stop) and the power would be cut in half or more until the wheel was straight again. anyone had this problem? no one has been able to figure it out for the longest time. i replaced the pre-converter O2 sensor (HO2S 1) and the problem has been gone for a few hours.
anyway......
the real question for anyone who knows suspensions. my car has extremely sloppy suspension, almost as if it'* too rough. going over bumps and train tracks especially, i feel like i'm in a city bus it'* that bad. some of the more common symptoms...
...very loud inside the car (sounds like a boom) going over bumps or train tracks
...the pedals will shake (also audible...sounds like a rattle)
the car rides decent otherwise, so i don't think it'* the struts (the rears were replaced <6 months ago). i've checked for play, loose bolts, horizontal movement in the tires and nothing sticks out.
anyone have any idea what may cause something like this? thanks in advance, once again.
