Mine would do that, stall out and restart. I replaced the crank sensor while I had the
engine out. The problem has not resurfaced.. I also remember it being a lil hard to start.

You should here a whine type noise coming from the rear underside of the car. It should last about 2 seconds.
If you hear it, then its working. We just eliminated the typical ground bus issue.
On to the next one.
Thanks for elaborating. Yes, I do hear the whining.

That is also something I'm looking at. How difficult is this with the engine still in? It doesn't sound too bad. The 28mm socket is a little intimidating lol

My plan of action right now will be spark plugs and wires (since I don't know when they were last done anyway), check ignition coils, then probably head towards the crank sensor

I think Autozone can test your ICM module. That'* about the only thing you haven't replaced, other than your crankshaft position sensor.

Yes they can and they did. I had the guy run the test about 10 times. Passed all of them. Although he was stumped about the no 12x ignition pulse code if the ICM is in fact good.

The balancer bolt is easy if you have a 1/2 inch impact. I think the series 1
like you have has an adjustable ckp sensor. Series 2, just a big non adj. one.
Setting torque on that bolt is no fun tho.

I got the Autozone printout instructions on the crank sensor. It does mention a ckp sensor. I don't have a 1/2" impact, but I'd much much rather build my tool collection than pay a mechanic. The printout also says something about removing right wheel, tire assembly, fender shield and some other stuff.. is all this really necessary or can I just jack the car up and be able to access it from underneath?

It also makes it sound like this is a pretty delicate procedure, true?

I'll have to check. It was in good condition when I put everything back together from the LIM / UIM job. I'm out of town until Saturday night now. So I'll be theorizing until then.
