I have Bonnevilles and don't think that either one of them have a way to manually shift out of park with out the ignition turned on. Unlike some other cars such as honda, in a honda you can manually take it out of park with the key, but thats with out the ignition turned on. Maybe GM has a way we dont know about....
Well, the reason I ask, is I had a 97 Grand Prix GT that had a little cover next to the shifter and if you removed it, you could use your key or similar object to poke down into the hole and release the shifter.
I suppose I could just pull the fuse for the chimes, but then I'd likely kill the lighting too which is helpful.
