Default seat problem driving me insane (NOW W/ PICS!)

There are 3 little metal peices that are starting to wear at the cloth and my side when in the seat. I really don't know whats going on because it is only happening in the drivers seat on my left side. I really don't want to get seat covers but i'm thinking i might need to.

Anyone heard of this problem? Any advice if i could fix it?

seat covers you shall not like I'll almost put money on that one, but if there the same as most seats you could get real ambitious an take it out an add more foam rubber to the "affected" areas or go the the junk yard an find a good seat

I agree. The current upholstery should be removable (in the event it ever has to be replaced), I would try stuffing some foam under there and see if that helps. It won't be easy, but it will be well worth it. Seat covers are tough to use, and they also are very expensive if you get ones that actually look decent.

You must have one of the rare SSEi'* 16-way cloth seats. Can you take a picture of the damage?

Your wear is caused by the combination of how you get out of the car, what'* inside the bolsters, and such.

Watch how you get in and out. It'* practically unavoidable.

I see. You should get an estimate from a upholstery store for that first. If it'* too much you may want to try and pad the inside yourself.

Thats a bummer :( I agree, do you have any automotive trim shops around? If not maybe try calling a few autobody shops and see if they have any contacts. The problem will be matching the factory upholstery. That is going to be very tricky, especially since you have premium cloth which I bet isn't the same that is used on the standard seats.
