Service Engine Soon Light
Just had my oil changed and tires rotated. Two days later, my Service Engine Soon light is on steady. I checked the owner'* manual suggestions (i.e. gas cap is on tight, I bought the same gas as always, & I didn't drive through a puddle of water, etc.) A quick check under the hood shows nothing obvious.
Anything else I can check before I take it back to the dealer?

The trouble codes are the easiest way to reveal the problem. Make sure nothing is disconnected under the hood. Once the oil change guys disconnected my intake air temperature sensor on the back of the air filter box when they went to check the air filter.

That IAT is a big one. I've seen 3 bonnevilles and a LeSabre with that problem. Mine was one of them, and it happened to me twice. Once when I bought the car, and the next time when some old idiot forgot to hook it back up after gutting the airbox. What a putz.
Other than the obvious connection bull, you'll need to do a code scan.

sounds like you definitly need to have it scanned. i bet they checked your air filter when they changed your oil, but, if they left the IAT unplugged, it wouldnt have taken 2 days for the light to come one. it would have flashed almost as soon as you started the car.
as with any computer controlled car, you need to know what is in the pcm to know where to start looking.
