Default Fog lamps, '99 SLE

Replaced the bulbs with SilverStars today.

What are the little twisty deals under the lamp sockets? Is that some sort of adjustment?

I thought that was BillBoost digging through his parts bin????

You need to maintain those adjusters, too. When I got my 98, they were just rusty bits with plastic bits surrounding them. I would highly recommend a light coating of grease, and a few turns back and forth once or twice a year.

Mine move freely, but then I'm a Californian, where ice and snow (and salt on the roads) are all unknown.

I knew there was some reason houses here cost $750K.

they just seem to hate being on all the time....I would imagine having them on whenever you are driving tends to wear them out.

I never have had an issue but cars that keep them on whenever whille driving have...

They have a reputation for being tempermental. the headlights are great but,the foggys are a different story. I usally keep mine on all the time and generally lose one about every 3 to 4 months

Oh well, that'* the price we pay :?
