Default middle a/c vent

my middle a/c vent decided not to work anymore, the top and bottom do though. anyone know what is up?

Lost your manifold vacuum? If the ventilation system has no vacuum to work with to change its duct settings, it'll default to blowing through the defroster and/or floor outlets only. Maybe someone knocked a vacuum line off somewhere under the hood.

oh oh oh...(I love this one) ...check the small black tank to the left of the brake master cylinder. There should be two vac lines hooked up to it. If not, one should be hanging around very close.

yes more than likely it is the vacum hose under the hood..on the black box next to the master cylinder..i have had the same problem last week here is my post and how it was fixed thanks to jwikoff99!

awesome i still gotta check it out, i have no time b/c i've been studying like crazy for my calc 2 final. that stuff ain't eazy. i'll check it out soon

ok so i took a look at in on my lunch break, i found the two vaccum hoses to the left of the firewall and they were both plugged in BUT the one hose was really weird. it had a larger hose that it also connected to w/ some fitting. but everything was together.
