Semi fixed exhaust. Belt broke
I just sorta fixed my exhaust then after leaving the atm i lost power steering and my alt voltage was low. I only drove about .5 miles after but my car smoked a little when i shut it off. I sure hope its ok. I will keep you updated. I hope its ok.

Assuming your belt broke - with no water pump the engine got pretty hot and (if you are lucky) just vaporized some some seeps of oil and/or coolant. Did your temperature gauge spike? The time it ran without coolant flow is more important than the distance. If it was only a minute or two, you are probably gonna be OK. This is, however, the kind of thing that might finish off a weak or ready-to-fail intake manifold gasket. I would keep a careful eye on the coolant level from here on out.

update: got it back today. the water pump seized up and that caused the belt to break/shred, according to the mechanic. He said I needed a new thermostat, water pump, and belt, and he welded my makeshift fix on my exhaust. 320 bones.

$320 is not too bad. Parts and coolant could'a been had for a little under $100, but he put in some labor there - exhaust fix was probably worth at least $50. Glad to hear you are back on the road. Keep an eye on the coolant level - you don't want to see any sudden drops.
Thanks for letting us know how it turned out.
