Default [b]Engine recently replaced...hearing a knocking noise!!![/b

I have a 1995 Black Bonneville where I just replaced the engine this past Saturday. The reason why the engine was replaced was because the last time I had driven it, there was a cloud of white smoke as I pulled into my driveway. I checked the oil and antifreeze and there was no antifreeze. So I filled it with antifreeze. The next morning the antifreeze was gone and it would not start :?: .

The engine has been replaced with a 3800 Series II that has 60,000 miles on it, the oil was changed, and still I've been having problems . I started hearing a knocking noise yesterday so I checked the oil and it was fine. I don't understand what it could be. Also, when I shift gears I can feel it more as well as when I change it from Park to Reverse and so on...I can feel the engine move . Please help me out!!!

Your first engine suffered from an upper intake failure. I think it would have been better to simply fix that one. Do you still have it?

This one may be trickier. Please tell us where you are located, and put this information in your profile. We may have someone nearby that can help.

Get a mechanic'* stethescope from the auto parts store for ten bucks, and try to narrow down the sound to a specific area. I can't hear it from here

Can you isolate the noise? Get a hold of a stethascope and try to narrow it down. It maybe something simple like a sticky valve? But it could be worse

Good man. You guys keep us posted on this, and get an idea where the old engine is.

And mini-meets require photos.
