Can these problems be caused by The TPS sensor-I hear lots of air by filter, or could it be mass air control?or the CPS camshaft sensor, does those sensors allow engine to run with out cutting off due to hot temps - We live in florida today will be about 95 which means the hot car is very hot,
i've read past posts about you guys suggesting sensors due to heat-hot motors can you write back today about thoughts, going to check spark again, be sure to read past posts to get my full problems

I put plug back-in started, had to rev to 2500 rpms to keep idle,
plugs were white on the tip,i think some oil was by threads (engine) but not WET!
ran for 3 mins then stalled then went to start unable to crank over need to put on charger,Yes battery is 3 months old

Dan, went out tonite to check things very hot today about 100' too hot to work on car much, I checked TPC passsed test, going up and down, checked coils, .5 consistent on both sides, read again what i did today, i also charged battery and started motor ran for 3 mins at 2500+ rpms and then ran for another 7-8 mins at idle then stalled and could not fire back up, how do feel about the crank or camshaft sensors? I bought a multimeter at Lowes $17.00 really nice on sale ($21.95),
thanks for your helpful insight just running out of suggestions,I read another thread about a 4 hr. project with crank sensor is that my next step, no one I know has a clue about this problem,
just Me and these computer comments from you guys

It could be a MAP sensor, but I hate throwing parts at a problem. I will say a MAP code is not one I've seen come up for no reason. The last MAP I saw go out caused the car to not shift right, idle bad, no power.

Today i charged up battery, peplaced old ing.coil/ also old ing. module, I pulled out MAP sensor cleaned and replaced will put new one if i have too. cleaned PCV free from oil,put back together. I started up car ran for 2-3 mins keep hearing air under air filter, so I pulled off filter and housing ,left off, started up again, ran for a while felt good about driving, so I drove about 2-3 miles around the neighborhood ran ok you can hear the air intake humming, the biggest problem was the original problem while driving put your foot into gas pedal ,not much responce, feels like if you keep in a certain position will continue to run and move, but as you increase the pedal it seems to bog down and slow responce and wants to stall, never did stall
but did feel like it was running at full power-runs like its on 4-5 cylinders but while idling in park if I throttle up to 2500-3000 rpms and not much of a miss,
While in park in the driveway runs good at 2500+ rpms then at idle you can hear a slight miss,
not major , I have a person that is a Saturn mechanic I will try to call today
any suggetions?

No similarity'*.

MAF, Mass Air flow. Tells the PCM how much air is entering the throttle body.
MAP, manifold absolute pressure Tells the PCM what the current air pressure is to adjust the calculations used to set the Air Fuel ratio

The MAF is located on the top of the throttle body, the MAP is located above the rear valve cover.
