How to change front struts?
Hello,
Is there a guide for changing the front struts on a 1994 SSEI floating around the forums? Is it something that can be done in the backyard, also does it require any special tools? Thanks for your help.

I did on my 94 about a month ago. Pretty easy job as long as you do what i say below.
First off i used pre-assembled Monroe Quick Struts (if your not using quick struts or another brank of PRE-ASSEMBLED struts my info below cannot help as much as the videos i included)
Quick Struts have a lifetime warranty, pretty well priced and the come with every thing so you don't have to worry about half the old parts failing later.
You will need:
A blow torch and some liquid wrench(to loosen up stubborn blots)
Socket set
Mallet(to beat stubborn bolts out)
Breaker bar (You WILL NEED this otherwise some bolts can be impossible)
Car jacks (i was dumb and lucky and just used my floor jack and my cars in trunk jack, i only worked on one side at a time and had both jack on the same side incase one would fail)
Soapy water and a toothbrush(to scrub all bolt before re-assembly)
:WARNING WARNING:
Make sure you support the the brake rotor and all that stuff other wise the CV Axel will pull out out of the transmission and is impossible to get get back in with out cutting the rubber boot(if that happens lay a VERY clean towel underneath because parts are gonna fall other when u cut that boot open)
Most of all be patient, take your time and look at what'* going at every step of the way.
Here are some great vids that i used!
