Oil Pressure
I was wondering what oil pressure everyone had in their SC cars? I am running between 60-80 nomally and 80-100 with the AC on. To me this seems high, but it has been pretty consistent and predictable within those ranges.
Also, could someone tell me if there is a voltage difference between an oil pressure sending unit from any of the years that could cause mine to read higher? Thanks

I'm thinking your 95 sending unit is giving you overly high readings.
Why'd you put a 95 sender in a 93 car?
30 warm idle, 55 cruising altitude

Bill, I'm actually not using the 95 one. When I got home to put it on the car, my dad had already had it replaced by the mechanic because it was switched with the engine and the replaced it under warrenty, so if you want the 95 back, i'll bring it out with me. As for which one replaced it, I am not sure, which is why I am wondering if they changed at all between the years in voltage needed.

Hehe... oh darn you blew my theory out of the water!
It seems high. When the motor was replaced did they put a high volume oil pump in or anything like that?

I am not sure. I know the motor is out of a park ave ultra, so I am not sure if they had a higher pressure rating. The pump had the checkvalve replaced as that is what went wrong on my other one. I am not too worried right now as it is steady and predictable, but I don't really like seeing it that high. I may just have to get a mechanical gauge hooked up and see what it'* doing.

The board I changed out in the clusters were both from 93 Supercharged cars, so I am assuming they have the same range. But I will just have to test and see. Anyone know if the Autozone scanner can read Oil pressure for a 93?

Geoff. Scanners won't do oil pressure. Needs to be a mechanical gauge.
