Water pump 1993 SSEi
So, how many beers does it take to change the water pump? I started at 11 am today and I'm just now able to move the accessory bracket out of the way. On to the motor mount next. Seriously, am I stupid or is this a ridiculous amount of work to be able to remove the water pump? I'm tempted to tow it to the mechanic and let him finish it, but I hate to do that. Probably looking at another 6 hours of labor on this crap.

ok so I'm finished up, but wow what an adventure. I should have taken pics, but I can't use the camera with greasy paws. Here'* some tips though in case anyone reads this in the future:
Start at the alternator, remove it, then remove the two 13 mm bolts holding the power steering pump (through the pulley holes) Unbolt the 3 or 4 15mm bolts holding the accessory bracket to the motor. On the accessory bracket there is a nut on a stud that holds two metal heater hose pipes on it. wiggle them loose from the intake (might take some time) after the accessory bracket is loose, you can wiggle it and push it out of your way. move on to the motor mount, loosen the frame side 15mm bolts, jack up car and remove tire on passenger side. next from underneath loosen the 15 mm bolts that go into the slotted side of the frame side motor mount. I used a wrench on here, ymmv. then find a small piece of wood to spread the load on the oil pan as you jack up the motor.shoot for about 5- 6 inches height. undo the center bolt and nut of the motor mount then wiggle the motor mount out of there. (I broke off the clip that held the ac lines with a screwdriver and hammer) Next undo the 3 bolts for the motor side motor mount bracket. Once those are off, remove the bracket and replace your water pump! I ran into a dilemna regarding the heater pipes into the intake and i had a broken o-ring on one, so i put a bead of rtv, let it dry then put on another fresh coat and stuck it into the hole. no leakage yet!

Sorry I missed this thread yesterday. I would have given you some pointers. But it looks like you hit just about everything. I was installing a intercooler on a car all day.
