Does it really matter where I get my parts (O2 sensor, PCV valve, t-stat, etc.)?? Can I get the generic ones from AutoZone, or do I need to get the ones from gmpartsdirect...

Depends on what you're buying from where! O2 Sensors should be GM! Plugs can be from the cheapest place that carries AC Delco'* or NGK'*! Air filters, fuel filters, etc can be from anywhere too!

all I have to say is you get what you pay for when you buy cheap parts. It may not idle right because the pcv valve doesn't flow right ect .
