Default transmission question!

ok so i think the tranny in my 92 bonneville is wicked f-ed up, it just slips and slids all over the place, i cant push down hard on the gas or it will lurch a whole bunch of times until i let off almost all the way. one of the return lines rusted bad, then it broke open and all my fluid dumped out while i was driving. i used a bottle of lucas transmission non-slip... stuff when i was filling it back up and fixed the line. then not to long after, the other line broke open(should have replaced it at the same time)and all the fluid dumped out while i was driving! i didnt use the lucas when i filled it back up, maybe i should? the car has 206,000 miles...

also:::: if it IS the tranny, and not like.... possibly a fuel problem.... what cars have the same tranny, or does it have to be from a 92-95 bonneville?

It has to be from a 1992 SSEi ONLY. If you're looking for a direct swap, that is.

What does your fluid look and smell like after driving? Lurching and hesitation is typically an ignition problem, and is commonly mistaken for a trans problem. Pull your plugs and inspect them. All 6 should be an even light tan color. Check your plug wires for resistance. All should be progressively higher in resistance with length. Check your coils with the Techinfo procedure.
