Recall notice 95???
hey all,
I was surfin the web and I came across NHTSA recalls for GM'* from 2004. I found one for only 98-99 Bonnies with the 3800. It said that certain delphi fuel pressure regulators have a high rate of fuel leaks. They said it could cause a backfire and rupture the intake manifold and can displace a fuel line, pulling an injector out of place and cause a fuel leak and a possible fire!!
I'm sure you guys are aware of this, I just read it.
It says GM will fix it, install new fuel pressure regulators. But I thought all 3800 series 2 engines in Bonnies were the same from 95-99. Did they change the regulators in 98?? THey said they recalled over 400,000 GM cars, lesabre and olds 88 too. Should I worry about this in my 95 SE?
Is my car gonna go KA-BOOM???? Will my onboard computer suddenly freak out and think I'm drivin a Daewoo???
I don't wanna end up like a mob hit when I turn my car on..Didn't ya see the danny devito and joe piscopo movie?? Wiseguys??
thanx

This is not a problem among the 95'*.. But you could pull the Vacume line at the regulator to make sure there is no fuel coming out of it...
