body work
i have a question. when i bought my car it came with a little rust hole in the rear left quarter and was wounder what is the best way to repair it ? i would like to weld in new material but i'm not to confident that i could do it with out warping the side. i know a lot of body shops would just bondo it over but would like to get all your opinions before i go into it. i was not to sure if this was the right spot to post this.

Even if you tried to weld up a small rust spot you would have to cut off a considerable section of the surrounding rust and metal to even work with. Then have to actually weld it on, then you would have to grind it all down... then have to end up using bondo anyway to make it all look smooth...
I would go with a bondo solution on this, make sure all the rust is dead before bondo'ing and painting though. Just because you sand/cut/grind the rust all away doesnt necessarily mean its dead, get a rust killer after sanding it all down.
It also not a very cricital safety area of the car and plus bondo is a pretty sturdy stuff. But if the inside of the quarter panel is going to be exposed to rain and road crap then you should probably protect it with one of those underbody rubber undercoating sprays just to make sure it retains its shape.

The hole is fairly small then so go bondo but make sure all you see is bare metal and not even a spek of rust otherwise it might crack/shrink/fall out.. anyways after you bondo primer the front and back and on the back hit it with some undercoating so it dont rust from behind.

Mine'* coming through from the back and underneath on both sides right there, and I've seen other Bonnies going in the same places. Factory did a really bad seam finish there.

Like I said, when removing the rust make sure you kill the rust, either with a primer that is specific to that purpose or you can buy the chemical itself.
