Default tranny problem

today i started having a problem with what i believe is my tranny. I was driving and everything was fine the i went to go WOT and the car dogged down no power and like hit what was like a rev limiter at like 5000-5200. Then i let the gas out and gave it gas slow and got it into second gear. Now when it is warm it doesn this but if it is cold it is fine. Does anyone have any ideas. I am thinking tranny but i dunno.

Could be a decent amount of KR, especially if its hot outside. Just a thought.

Hey sorry I didnt see where you put its kinda like a rev limiter, I posted real early in the morning :? But now that I read it during the day it kinda sounds like an interminent problem I have at WOT in 1st gear. The action of the RPM'* will act like I hit a rev limiter at 4000 and at 5000 but it will shift into second fine. kinda weird.

i just picked mine up from the dealer for trans problems (AT least i thought) turns out the ABS computer was sending the ecm some bad singnals (due to diffrent sized tires) and making it seem like a lot of things wrong that you would think where unrelated. My tech said a bad abs computer or somthing wrong with the abs can give alkinds of false symptoms including but not limited to bad MASS air flow sensor bad TCC messes with your cruise ride control HUD all kinds of crap i pulled the 5B fuse out of mine till i get tires on it o yeah it was also causing my breaks to lok itermitently

WOW, I thought it was only the OBD2 that was a royal pain in the a$$ like that :? But I guess it proves the point with these damn computer controlled cars, one thing goes wrong, it all goes wrong

ain't that the truth may car had diffrent size tires in it from the front to the rear so the rear wheels where reading faster then the fronts so the abs computer was telling the ecm the car was sliding so the ecam was holding the car in 3 gear opening the idle air control and crankin up the fuel to try to help pull out while in the mean time turning off the cruise computer comand ride and eliminating readings from the o2 sensor it also locked up the breaks when i hit the peddle twice in a row all from diffrent size tires now aint that some ****
