Default Fixing broken mirror

Well today backing out of the garage i smacked the mirror on something and broke the plastic around one of the bolts. Its still hanging onto the car its just loose. Now I would assume with some JB weld and some random pieces of stuff i could hack this together and it would be good as new. Now is this even possible to do? I used to have a spare cracked mirror but i threw it away thinking i would never need it, wish i didnt toss it now

Theres also scratches on it that can be buffed out with no problem. I could of course get a used one, but I think it would be cheaper and faster just to do a little redneck repair on it.
