Well, my title search I did before I bought the car said that it had been a fleet car for the first 3 years, then this couple bought it. I know he was a retired Engineer....she said so. You suppose GM used this as a fleet car, then he picked it up when he retired? Remember I'm in Oregon.......???

Ok, how pissed would you guys be if I told you we were messing around?

No violence, please. I had enough of that during my divorce.

Ok, it'* partially true. I discoverd the 'rear steer' dummy light while working on the instrument panel. Figured we'd have a little fun with it, so I'm fessing up before it gets too far out of hand.

Apparently Pontiac was CONSIDERING rear steer at some point, and had that included in the intstrument panel, but it never apparently went into production. My car DOES NOT have rear steering, but it is pretty freaky discovering something like that.

I gotta tell you guys, I was actually gonna pull my left rear wheel and offset it in combination with the front as a final bit of 'proof', but I figured that would be carrying it WAY too far. Nobody is REALLY mad at me are they?

Ok, I know that at least the guys that were in on it aren't mad. So I have what? 5 friends still?

Cuz he was sortof in on it. He almost gave it away with this 'rare' option....and him having three of them up there. He'* on painkillers right now, so I'll forgive him.

Apparently, Pontiac WAS considering this at one point, or I wouldn't have that dummy light in my car. I just think it'* wierd that nobody has noticed this until now. I'd like to have some other years pull theirs apart and check, but that'* a big undertaking for curiosity'* sake.
