They made a limited number of cars with this option that year. Unfortuanetly most were either parted out or sold / given to people related with the initial project of developing this feature. A few select ones made it to "prefered" showrooms and private parties. You just got lucky, "real lucky", and got a hold of one.

I guess it was rarer than I thought.

I hope it doesn't cost too much to fix this hag. I checked the fluid res, and it'* full, and the level sensor is working ok. Tomorrow I'll check the left and right G sensors and position sensors.

Anybody got a clue what I should check besides that?

It'* not the only year the rear steer was offered. Not something you want on your car though. once it goes, well , lets not go there.

wow rear steering- what a concept! Willwren- Have you ever had this car aligned at a shop? If so, what kind of reaction did you get from the mechanics? Bet they couldn't believe their eyes!

I love it! Sorry, the service manual doesn't cover that one. I guess you don't have my twin anymore. I shall turn my back.

I think I found the problem. I found a loose connector on the steering column (the one that comes from the steering position sensor). Can't test it yet, cuz I have my airbag out to fix my steering wheel stereo controls.
