I need some help with figuring out the air strut system on this car. When the compressor turns on it seems to stiffen up the whole car. (front and back) About every month the comprssor will turn on for a second and then turn off, is this normal? Another question does the air suspension actually lower the car at a certain speed or is that not true. Because it seems when i hit about 90 m.p.h. it seems to feel like the car lowers. Is this true or am I just going nuts?

you do not have CCR on your 92 you only have the ELC. does the rear end of your car sag at all when you have people in theback of car. your Air struts may need replacing, or your compressor is shot.

open the trunk and have you and your friends sit on the back of the car after a minute or so the back of the car should return to its normal heigth. does the compressor turn on at all??

Well when people do sit in the back seat the compressor turns on. But after about a month the shocks lose air I guess and it will turn on to raise the car to it'* normal height. Right now I have about 80 lbs. in the trunk, so it looks a little lower but not enough for the compressor to turn on.

the car will return to the correct height no matter what weight is placed in the car. The air ahocks react almost instant, if the car is too low they pump the car up and if the car is too high it will lower, in a matter of seconds

One other question. Is this suspension speed sensitive? Because when i hit about 95 m.p.h. it feels like the car lowers. I don't really know if this is true or not. Just curiosity.

no speed and the suspension are not related

What you are probably feeling is the front end rising relative to the rearend.
Frontend float at speed.

I have a thread on hear about my ELC compressor working but no air going through the lines to my struts. My thing is, can I purchase one of those struts and don't have to bother hooking the line up to them and my car looks jacked up in the rear? If so, I will get those. I am sick and tired of the car leaning in the rear.

heheheheh... I got a question fors ya Will

okay... I've got factory F41.. for 86 delta ( but you knew that) ... I want to atleast partial convert to the Rear air leveling (partial for performance more then auto ride level) so I can basically set a psi for daily drive, then have a second PSI set for performance driving

for the delta.. all I can find are the sensatrac struts... any idea which P/N would work in the rear for the reflex? and is the reflex shock valving atleast the same or hopefully better then the F41 valving?

basically the whole plan is

F41 front bar
attco upgraded rear bar
adjustable endlinks on both
DP 2inch lowering springs (little hotter spring rate then factory F41)
KYB GR2 front struts
and which ever the senstrac or reflex rear air struts with total stretch limited by offroad style straps

along with that is various custom braces and custom made urethane bushings

ideas? P/N'* ?

thanks and great research/write up Will
