95 PCM Question
Will a 94 SSEi PCM work in a 95? Or do I need to absolutely stick to the year?
I want to track down a backup mem-cal before I send it off for burning.

The 94 EPROM and PCM will work... But be ware there were some minor glitches in the 94 model year and the very early 95 models as well... But yes they should work for you... Will you be having the 94 EPROM burned keeping you stock EPROM incase you develop any issues...

Exactly, as long as they are electronically compatible and the flaws were in the code, I don't care. There'* going to be new firmware on the chip when it goes in anyway
I'm just not keen on sending in the only known working chip I have.

How many 91-93 GM H and C bodies with the 3800 attached to the 4T60-E have had a PCM failure as compared to the 94-95 models?
Also the 91-93 puters used a MEM-CAL as opposed to the 94-95 EPROM.. All 94-95 Bonneis and other H and C bodies regaurdless of the engine used that very PCM...
Morthel will be fine with a 94 PCM as a trunk Puter, as what he really wants to do is have the EPROM from it flashed so that he can retain his stock EPROM if he should have any problems..

If he was looking for a good computer for it I would have reccomened and AC Delco Reman... The rest out there are pretty much junk... But it will be a PCM that he can throw in the trunk as a just incase on long trips... I have a PCM for that purpose as well... I actually got my PCM from a low milage Bonnie.. and it was a 95... Its been completely trouble free...
So for cheap he will have a back up PCM and a ( I think it stands for ) Erasable Programable Read Only Memory( EPROM ) .... Should serve him well..
Now I'm wondering what kind of mods he'* planning...
