Plenum Q
Okay, I don't have a spare junked intake plenum around anywhere, so I was hoping that someone could answer me a quick question - if you look at the below pic, where does the hole (only non-mounting hole on the TB, next to the large coolant port) end up in the plenum? does it end up on the lower intake? does it just go straight into the plenum? if it does go to the lower intake, which hole does it go to?
thanks!
thanks!

Darker hole in the upper right corner? (your TB is upside-down from installed orientation). That'* the IAC port. It meters the amount of air at idle. Round black actuator on the other side varies the opening.

assuming the current orientation, I'm talking about the hole that is above and right of the main TB opening... i was under the impression that the IAC was the part at the bottom of the pic with the spring in there... cause that'* almost exactally what it looks like on my shadow...

yeah, if only i had a spare TB to keep with me at all times
i'm looking at the drawing of it right now, and they were kind enough to label almost every darned hole on the thing - except for that one!
anyhew, if you were curious, thought it might be a good idea to figure out what that was *before* making the TB adaptor for the L26 manifold
and in a negative twist, the junk yard I went to this past weekend wanted close to 30 bucks for a TB that had no useful life left in it! what a rip. I need to find one to get a good measure of the contours inside of it, but they wouldn't cut me any slack on price. *goes off into corner to cry*

anyhew, i guess it'* not *horrible*, i'm just cheap. I guess when I see a car part that'* completely non-functional for any sort of a working car, I'd hope that it would be, well, cheaper.
I'll call around up in Flint - they've got some cheap stuff up that way - they offered me a full intake and TB for my shadow for 35, all sensors included, guaranteed working.
oh, but the really good news (even though it sucked for me), was that there were only 2 l36'* in the entire place, and neither of them were there b/c of engine failure - 1 battery explosion (those are nasty), and 1 front end hit...
