Default Cruddy overflow tank

My coolant overflow tank is pretty dingy inside. Is there an easy way to clean it? Some of you have really clean looking overflow tanks.

There isn't a whole lot that you can do, really. Mine looked pretty bad, but I just took the resevoir off and sprayed out with a hose and some Castrol Super Clean. As far as the outside, you have to be kind of careful because a lot of products can actually cause the plastic to rot. I use a rag and some WD-40 to clean the outside.

That will do the trick too, you just have to be careful with old plastics and abrasive cleaners! They tend to dry old plastics and cause them to crack over time. Sometimes you get lucky
