Default Interior center cousil.

Ok my old one broke so we ordered in a brand new one..and i got it in and i replaced the top part..but the 2nd piece connected to the cousil won't budge. I was wondering if anyone in here has done the operation before and knows the proper way to get that thing out so i can replace it. Here is a pic..

If you are confused i am talking about the black/smoke plastic piece connected to the teal vinyl.

That'* easy. Pull your seat controls and disconnect the harnesses from them. You'll find another screw that comes into that trim piece coming up underneath where the latch for the console lid is.

on the top is the new piece ordered.. obviously there seems to be 2 screws hidden under the metal piece. But i think the metal piece is glued down or somethin cuz it won't budge.

I can't remember....either pull the inner liner panels (they just snap out, rear and bottom) and access those from underneath, or you have to pop out your rear seat heat deflectors and go through there....I don't remember. I had that sucker out a year ago or so.

That metal piece looks like its just glued on or something. Eitherway it has to come off so i think you just have to get that really hott and peel it off. The screws are hidden under there. I'll give that a shot tonight after work. I'll keep ya updated.

Don't do that. Look more carefully at your own pic above. See those two little round parts, barely visible in the hinge? Those are studs. They have nuts on the bottom. Don't heat that sucker up!

Maybe I'M confused now! Aren't you trying to take your hinge off? You have to get that off before the bezel. Then install the new bezel, and re-install the hinge. The hinge is what'* holding it all together back there.
