Freshman here, question about 94 SE
Have this car about two years ago, I still can not find any way to open the rear trunk from inside. I hate that I have to take off key then get out to open it. Somebody told me there is just no such switch. Is it true?
Thanks lot

its actually not a totally bad idea to NOT have said switch or disable it. if you have anything valueable in your trunk (amp, subs, golf clubs, bodies) any theif can smash your window and WAMMO hes in your trunk.

Nope, car has to be set to run, and in park or in retainned accessory power.

And if you install said switch yourself (as i did on my 94 SE) there will be some mighty complex wiring to have it set to pop with only the ignition on and in park. Unfortunatly if it was an option that was not chosen on your car then it does NOT have the wiring built into the car already.
You will have to run a wire from the trunk to the button up front. You will also need the release actuator (both that and the button get from GMpartsdirect.com for cheap) And it will need to get power from somewhere.
You can find the connectors that fit into the actuator and switch from a junkyard for less than $1; because otherwise they are FREAKING expensive to buy. (around $20-$30 for EACH connector)
If you have any questions on completing this job i did it on my car so PM me or something
Good Luck!
