I paid a car electrician 1200.00 for my alarm. Directly hard wired to all the correcct wires on the factory alarm . All windows roll-up , trunk pop up , starter and pager but some how it'* tied up to the factory alarm guy told me it was top off the line . The birds won't even **** on it! Also has radar sensors around the rims , they are factorys but they wil be 18 inch chromes. Guy took 4 weeks.

I've GOT the remote entry--I wanna know if I can make it trigger a remote start system, or if I need to get a complete new remote entry/start system

Well in this case, yes, you will have to get a whole new system installed since the GM Remote Entry System is not designed to handle this. Plus on cars with the VATS System, you'll have to get a second module to send a temp signal to the Ignition Module that bypasses the VATS. Or you can ruin a key by placing a chip from one into the Ignition Switch (this would totally disable the VATS System though). :?

Well, poop--that'* what I was afraid of--not looking forward to the number of hours it takes to install one of those things (I ain't gonna pay someone to do work I can complete myself if I don't have to)

I knew about the VATS thing--but thanks for the reminder anyway--I take back at least half the bad stuff I said about you

Thanks for all the info DeathRat--much appreciated
